About Kevin
Kevin D. Klagge helps families and business owners hold on to what they have built, from the family home to the family business, and pass it on instead of losing it to probate, creditors or taxes. Kevin advises on wills, trusts, deeds and business plans, and on tax planning and business structuring, meaning the choice of entity, how the company and its real estate are owned, and the operating and buy-sell agreements that control what happens when an owner dies, divorces or walks away.
In 14 years of law practice, Kevin has litigated cases over poorly drafted documents, including probate, trust, tax controversy and business disputes, with trials before juries and judges. Kevin puts it this way. "I also litigate deeds after they fail, which enhances the practice of drafting deeds." The plans Kevin drafts are written with that experience of how documents get attacked in court.
Kevin is a partner at Assouline & Berlowe, P.A. in Miami, a firm with 15 attorneys, and serves Florida, multi-state and international clients by phone and video. The full story, including why the work is personal, is on the About page.

How the Guides Are Researched
Each guide is checked against the controlling authority, meaning the Florida Statutes, the Florida Constitution, published court decisions, the Internal Revenue Code and official agency materials. Every guide lists its authorities in a Sources of Law block with a retrieval date, and the "Updated on" date changes only when the content changes. The full standard is in the editorial policy.
